July 29, 2007 - Superweek bike race in WFB

Colin and I joined some friends to watch the 'Superweek' bicycle race that was being held this evening in Whitefish Bay. They close off the streets along the race route and everyone sets up lawn chairs and brings picnics/drinks to cheer on the riders! It was really cool and Colin loved watching the racers speed by!

July 29, 2007 - Brennie and Lauren come to visit

...and the boys had fun playing all over the house and outside! The Mamas got to catch up and compare toddler notes (and while Colin exemplified all of the "terrible toddler" behavior this afternoon, Lauren assured me that Brennie is acting out the same way at home although I wouldn't believe it based on his mild manners as a guest!!)

July 28, 2007 - Welcome Baby Jake Ryan!

Mama went to see new baby Jake Ryan and Mama Lisa on Saturday (he's just over a week old!)

The new (again) parents and baby are doing wonderful (and Jordan is hanging in there as a new toddler older sister :) Jake is so handsome already! It was weird to hold a baby so small as mine is sooo big now already!

July 27, 2007 - avacado fingers

Well, we didn't actually eat any avacado tonight but if you can confirm that it works as a good hand moisturizer, Colin's set for a long time!

July 26, 2007 - Jazz in the Park

Colin and I met the girls for Jazz in the Park; he had fun watching the people, dancing to the music and letting EVERYONE take turns chasing him around the very crowded park!

Colin loves watching airplanes in the sky; it was an extra treat tonight because they were also carrying huge banners behind them too!

July 24, 2007 - Peek-a-boo bath time!

July 22, 2007 - Choo choo!

Colin loves playing with the choo-choos on his train table that Grandpa built! Mama put together this track during his nap today and Colin had much fun playing with the new trains and track when he woke up!

July 22, 2007 - BBQ with our friends Melissa and Nick

Melissa and Nick came over this evening to BBQ with us and to play with Colin.

Colin showed Nick his cool remote control car.

After begging for all of the black olives out of Melissa's pasta salad, Colin proceeded to feed each pasta noodle to Melissa... yummy!

July 20, 2007 - Chompin' on crackers

...in the morning before school. Colin is getting to be such a big boy and this picture shows! He just had his 18 month well baby appointment this week and he is doing great (and has his last shots until kindergarten- yeah!!!) He's up to the 92nd percentile for height!

July 15, 2007 - A relaxing morning with Grandpa

Colin and Grandpa sit back and enjoy some coffee (Colin has milk) and read the morning paper (Colin called dibs on the comics!!)

Oh, and here's our living room (slowly coming together... I've even almost got things hanging on the walls :)

Colin learns how to ride around on his tricycle with help from Grandpa- he even keeps his feet on the pedals!

July 13, 2007 - Friday Fish Fry!

Colin and I joined the Reas and their friends for their monthly Friday night fish fry which was held at Albanese's Tavern this month- it was a lot of fun and we figured out that Brendan and Colin hadn't seen each other since their 1 year birthdays so it had been way too long since we had gotten together(for the mamas mostly!!)

July 11, 2007 - Rockin' at River Rhythms

David and Melissa met Colin and I at River Rhythms in Pere Marquette Park along the Milwaukee River on Wednesday night. We had a blast listening to the band, running (chasing :) around the park and Colin met all sorts of fun people that he entertained! Colin especially loved getting spoiled by Mama's friends, it's quite evident from the pics!

July 10, 2007 - One mean spaghetti dinner...

...and mean to clean up, that's for sure! But Colin loved it (as well as his bath that followed IMMEDIATELY after this meal!)

July 10, 2007 - Love and prayers...

...are very much needed for our friends Patty and Sam as they lost their baby daughter last night. Abbey was born premature on April 26th at a gestational age of 26 weeks. She was such a strong fighter for such a little baby during the past 2 1/2 months they had to let her go last night. I am sure there are many angels watching over her now.
Our thoughts, love and prayers are being sent to the Yu and Ross families.

July 4, 2007- playing at the botanical gardens

Mama and Grandpa took Colin to the Missouri Botanical Gardens and Colin loved it! They recently opened up a kids area that Colin will love even more when he's old enough to climb on everything himself. We can't wait to go back!

July 3, 2007 - We love the StL Zoo!

A few pictures from our day at the St. Louis Zoo! Colin loved all of the animals (and especially the rhinos... thus began his "nino" obsession :)

June 30, 3007 - Colin's 4th of July Roadtrip to StL

And we had so much fun!!! Here's some pictures of the BBQ at Grandpa's- Colin was in a giant bubble in the first picture and showing off his mad skills of telling and showing where Mama and Colin's noses are!

Colin got to catch up with a lot of his friends too! We went to play at Benny and Drew's and had Addison and Mary Elizabeth over to Grandpa's house!
