October 29, 2006 - Trick or Treat

Happy Halloween!

October 29, 2006 - Road Snack

On the way to Colin's Halloween party (hence the pumpkin feet), we stopped at Target and Colin has a bottle for a mid afternoon snack in the parking lot before we get back on the road (and Mama has a Chai Latte from Starbucks... yum :)

October 26, 2006 - Eating while sleeping

Colin fell asleep in the highchair for the first time - while trying to eat a cracker (someone decided he didn't need an afternoon nap at daycare). Here's the sleepy boy before Mama got him to bed!

October 22, 2006 - What mess?

Says Colin after he dumps out an entire tin of sugar at Grandpa's house....

Colin has a new red car. He may not be walking yet, but he sure can drive. Beep, Beep!

October 21, 2006 - Pumpkin Patch

Colin takes his first trip to the pumpkin patch- so much to take in!

October 20, 2006 - Rocking Horse

This is another good find at Grandpa's house- Mommy's old rocking horse from when she was a little girl (made by Colin's Great Uncle Jim). With a little help rocking, Colin holds on tight and likes it!

October 20, 2006 - Backyard Exploration

After a walk through the neighborhood, Colin explores Grandpa's backyard and plays with some leaves and flowers. He likes to take in his surroundings and gets really quiet in such a big outdoor world.

October 20, 2006 - Climbing the Stairs

Colin doesn't have any stairs at his house so he tries out climbing the steps at Grandpa's house and loves them (with a little extra help towards the end.. climbing is tiring!)

October 19, 2006 - Generations High Chair

Grandpa dusted off the highchair that was used by Colin's Great Grandma to feed him and his siblings, Mommy and her sister and now Colin! We won't tattle on how old Grandpa is... but the highchair itself is 60+ years old and still works great!

October 19, 2006 - Playing with Benny

Colin's next stop on his road trip is a visit to his friend Benny's. Benny is almost a year old and he and Colin enjoyed crawling around and playing with toys. Colin even gave Benny a big hug!

October 19, 2006 - Colin meets Baby Addison

Mama and Colin take a road trip to St. Louis to visit family and friends. Colin gets to see his friends first of course! First, a trip to see new Baby Addison and Mama Kate (Addison is 3 weeks old).



The new family is doing wonderful! Colin doesn't know quite what to think of the baby and Mommy doesn't remember Colin ever being this little!

October 14, 2006 - Clapping in Action

October 14, 2006 - Colin's new ride

Ohmigosh... the best toy for a baby who is constantly on the move-- some wheels! Mommy put together Colin's new car toy (a combo learn to walk/ride) and he loves it! It triumphs all other toys in the house and we spent all Saturday afternoon and Sunday pushing it around the hallways and living room (it's good exercise but I think wears the Mama out more than Colin!)

October 9, 2006 - The Artist

So, he may not be to Matisse or Chagall standards quite yet, but Colin made his debut as a finger painting artist and Mommy things that he's a natural!

October 8, 2006 - Cathedral Square Park

Colin and Mommy stroll down the block to the Cathedral Square park to play on the swings and the slide-- Colin loves both (but was getting a bit sleepy in these pics so he looks content but not overly excited!!)

October 8, 2006 - Messy Smile

Colin flashes a grin at Mommy while he is eating lunch. He has started to ham it up in the high chair, rocking back and forth trying to dance and pulling the tray open and closed as a game-- as long as he is still eating good, Mommy's game for the new games :)

October 5, 2006 - Later that night....

Colin and Marissa play peek-a-boo through the tunnel! Colin loves all of the attention of Mommy's friends!

October 5, 2006 - Getting Around

Melissa helps Colin walk across the kitchen to reach.....

October 1, 2006 - Colin tries finger food!

Colin decided that it was time to move onto the real stuff-- finger foods!!! Colin tried grain puffs for the first time and loved them (did we think that he wouldn't??? :) He was a pro. It's on to spaghetti next! (just kidding...)

October 1, 2006 - Harvest Fest

Our friends Lauren and Brendan invited us to their neighborhood's Harvest Fest in Wauwatosa. The boys loved playing together and it was a beautiful Fall day -- to see more pictures of the afternoon, click here:

If you were counting, that's how quickly Colin would have reached you crawling if you were sitting at the end of this hallway! In this picture, Colin says, Mommy... I'm gonna get you!

September 30, 2006 - Ready for a Morning Stroll

Colin is ready for a Saturday morning walk in the cool September weather - and gets the best view by riding in the Baby Bjorn carrier that Mommy wears.
