March 30, 2008 - HOCKEY

Number / Player / Position
14 / Colin 'the next great one' / Defense

So, Colin started a love of the game of ice hockey from a hockey player image that was shown near WI on his world map floor puzzle. I found it appropriate to take him to an Admirals hockey game prior to the season's end so he would truly know what the sport is all about. He loved it. View of the game from our seats!Marissa joined us for the sports activity, and some catch up cuddling/tickle time with Colin!
Colin, Mama and Marissa taking in the hockey game and the crazy fans!

Colin in front of the ice arena and crowd (proudly wearing his 'world peace place' tee that Aunt Lissa made for him... let's just say that Mama distracted him during the fights on the ice :) - and overall, he loved his first hockey game experience!

March 30, 2008 - top gun

forget wearing Mama's sunglasses... Colin now has his own pair of aviator sunglasses... Top Gun style :)

Iceman: You two really are cowboys.

Maverick: What's your problem, Kazanski?

Iceman: You're everyone's problem. That's because every time you go up in the air, you're unsafe. I don't like you because you're dangerous.

Maverick: That's right! Ice... man. I am dangerous.

March 29, 2008 - Hangin' with the girls (and baby Jake)

Colin's friend Jordan asked him over for a Saturday night play date (okay, so it was a full fledge party with GIRLS but who's to judge?!? :) Mama and Colin had a fabulous night hanging out with our adult and "big kid" friends as Colin likes to call them!
Bella, Jordan and Colin chillin' in their shadesColin tries on most of Jordan's jewels for the audience.
Baby Jake (8 mo. old) tries to eat them.

Jumping around in the pop-up tunnels, how fun!

Lil' Miss Jordan lounging on her Mama's legs, looking so grown up for a 2 year old!Ring around the rosy, pocket full of... Ah, bouncing around on the couch after our normal bedtime, what else could be better in life?

And we can't forget... the oh-so handsome baby Jake!!! He was a trooper and had a blast getting into trouble with the big kids!!

Thanks to the Kards and our friends for such a fun evening!

March 25, 2008 - the very cool STL Science Center

One of Papa's favorite (and Mama's favorite growing up) places - the Science Center!
Colin explored the entire building for the first time this morning and did all sorts of awesome things!

He saw the GIGANTIC moving dinosaurs, played music on a laser harp,

watched a giant contraption work with Papa and built our own STL Arch out of special blocks with Mama!

March 24, 2008 - to the park (again)

but this time to a different park! It had snowed on Easter so everything was still pretty wet (and it was kind of chilly) but we got in a little bit of playing before going up to Papa's old stomping ground (the University he taught at before he retired) to say hello to some friends!

March 23, 3008 - Easter Bunny arrives!

Wow, what fun the Easter Bunny brings! Colin was very impressed that the Easter Bunny finished almost all of it's coffee and carrots that we left out the night before and also very excited about his Easter basket along with participating in multiple Easter egg hunts!

He had one egg hunt at Nana's, one at Papa's with G-Gma and then with the family at our Uncle Gary's house after Easter lunch.

March 22, 2008 - Easter bunny prep

Colin has been very excited for Easter and for what he planned to leave out for the Easter Bunny. First, we dyed our Easter Eggs and made Easter cards. Before bedtime on Saturday night, Colin left out his treats to entice the Easter Bunny to visit overnight; he left out carrots and coffee (the carrots were originally Mama's suggestion... and the coffee, well the bunny may just need a little pick-me-up after delivering all of those Easter baskets, right???)

March 21, 2008 - trip to the park

We went to the park before a visit to Great Grandma and Colin enjoyed the slides, swinging HIGHER than Papa and rock climbing!

There was also a skateboarding park nearby that Colin kept his eye on... and Mama made sure she repeated several times that it was for the REALLY BIG kids to deter any dangerous skateboard requests anytime soon!! :)

March 21, 2008 - shades

Colin loves to wear Mama's sunglasses... and let's just say that Mama just ordered his own pair of aviator sunglasses so that hers will survive! :) Here's one of the last shots borrowing Mama's!

March 21, 2008 - STL ZOO

Mama and Colin drove down to STL to visit for the Easter holiday and it was nice enough on Friday for a visit to the St.Louis ZOO!

Colin enjoyed visiting with the lions, camels, penguins and his first trip on the carousel!

March 16, 2008 - naked dancin' boy!

Colin was dancing up a storm as we got ready for his bath tonight!
He's a mean twistin' machine!

March 15, 2008 - cool car

Colin loves this new car tee from Mama's recent trip to NYC (although he kept talking about fast motorcycles today... go figure!)
